Our Teachers

Meet Mrs. Laura Ziche (Head Teacher and Upper Grade Teacher)

Mrs. Ziche was born and raised in Bay City, Michigan, where from early on she became interested in teaching at a Christian school. She pursued that dream by attending Martin Luther College and graduating with a degree in Communication Arts and Literature and K-12 Education in 2014. She was first called to teach at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, where she taught 5-8th grade English Language Arts, Art, and the 1-4 gifted and talented program. Then she moved to Katy, Texas for a year where she received another call to be the lead teacher and director of The Genesis Academy, a preschool in a booming suburb of Houston. Then she received a call to teach first grade at Siloah Lutheran School in inner city Milwaukee. The Lord finally blessed Mrs. Ziche by calling her husband to be the pastor at Immanuel in Hadar. They arrived in the summer of 2017, and have been loving the Husker life ever since.

Apart from teaching, Mrs. Ziche can often be found playing with her son, enjoying the outdoors with her dogs, reading a good book, or perfecting her pie recipes.
